September 2023 NORTHWESTERN MEDICINE UROLOGY WELCOMES FOUR NEW FACULTY MEMBERSHelen Ahn, MD
Helen Ahn, MD, will join the Northwestern Medicine Urology team in the north suburbs of Chicago in October. Dr. Ahn specializes in general urology, with a focus on female patients. She graduated from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and completed urology residency at Loyola University. She was previously in private practice for 15 years and most recently served as medical director of Urologic Services for Ascension Medical Group. Song Jiang, MD, PhD Song Jiang, MD, PhD, is a Northwestern Medicine urologic oncologist in the west suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Jiang chose urology due his research interest in immunotherapies in genitourinary malignancies. After residency at University of Minnesota, he went on to Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York for fellowship training in urologic oncology. His academic interests are advancing translational research and clinical trials in high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. Clinically, he is interested in urologic oncology, including prostate, kidney, bladder and testis malignancies. Dr. Jiang received the 2022-23 Conquer Cancer Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology Tanya Kristof, MD Tanya Kristof, MD, is a general urologist at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital. Her urologic expertise is broad and includes managing and preventing kidney stones, hematuria, prostate health, sexual health and erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, kidney cancer and urinary symptoms/BPH. Dr. Kristof received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine and completed her urology residency at the University of Chicago. Dr. Kristof prides herself in providing clear, patient-centered care both in the clinic and the operating room. She centers quality of life when discussing treatment options for complex urologic problems. Jeremy Lai, MD Jeremy Lai, MD, joins the Northwestern Medicine Urology team in the west suburbs of Chicago. Dr. Lai attended medical school at Feinberg School of Medicine. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management and completed residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. His interests include healthcare services and outcomes, cost-effectiveness analysis, prostate cancer and infertility. |
