NORTHWESTERN MEDICINE OPHTHALMOLOGY WELCOMES NEW FACULTY

Northwestern Medicine Ophthalmology is proud to announce the arrival of six new faculty members who will help expand many of our clinical programs and research.
​Adam D. Baim, MD
​

Adam D. Baim, MD, is an assistant professor of Ophthalmology. His clinical practice will focus on neuro-ophthalmology and adult strabismus surgery.
 
Dr. Baim earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed residency training at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota.
Timothy M. Janetos, MD
​

Timothy M. Janetos, MD, joins as assistant professor of Ophthalmology. He specializes in the treatment and management of uveitis. His research endeavors span a diverse range of ophthalmic topics, including ocular immunology, uveitis, corneal neovascularization, and clinical outcomes in various eye conditions.
 
Dr. Janetos earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed residency training and a fellowship in ocular immunology and uveitis at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University.

Anne M. Lannguth, MD

Anne M. Lannguth, MD
, assistant professor of Ophthalmology, specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
 
Dr. Lannguth earned her medical degree from University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed residency training at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, where she received accolades such as the Outstanding Resident Research Award and the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award. She then completed a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of Iowa.

Alcina K. Lidder, MD
​

Alcina K. Lidder, MD
, joins as assistant professor of Ophthalmology. She specializes in the management of glaucoma.
 
Dr. Lidder earned her medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she received honors in all clerkships and a distinction in research. She completed her residency training at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where she was appointed chief resident. She was then awarded the Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellowship and completed her Glaucoma Fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute/University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

David A. Ramirez, MD

David A. Ramirez, MD
, joins as assistant professor of Ophthalmology. He will practice pediatric ophthalmology.
 
Dr. Ramirez earned his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco. He completed residency training at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

​Jin Zhang, MD

​Jin Zhang, MD, joins as assistant professor of Ophthalmology. She will practice comprehensive ophthalmology at Northwestern Medicine’s newest ophthalmology location in Old Irving Park. Her research focuses on surgical outcomes and innovative surgical techniques in treating macular holes.
 
Dr. Zhang earned her medical degree from Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve before completing her residency training at the University of Arizona/Banner Health.
