SAMER ATTAR, MD, TRAVELS TO SYRIA TO HELP EARTHQUAKE SURVIVORS

In this video, Samer Attar, MD, associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Northwestern Medicine, discusses his most recent trip to Syria where he helped survivors of a 7.8-magnitude earthquake that killed more than 45,000 people. He traveled there with 10 other doctors volunteering with the Syrian Medical Society to provide emergency assistance. Dr. Attar performed 23 surgeries on the first day he arrived and hopes to return again soon to provide more aid.
