AGS22 RECAP: DR. LINDQUIST AND DR. BRADLEY ON TWITTER SPACES LIVE

Featuring: Lee Lindquist, MD, MPH, MBA, Sara Bradley, MD

Northwestern Medicine Geriatrics Holds First Twitter Spaces Event
Northwestern Medicine Geriatrics is exploring ways to use social media to disseminate geriatrics research and other updates. The first event, hosted on Twitter Spaces on May 24, was intended to raise awareness of issues related to the care of older adults. Northwestern Medicine experts shared perspectives and interesting information learned at the American Geriatrics Association’s Annual Meeting.

Here are answers to a few questions that we received about the event:

  • Q: What is Twitter Spaces?
    • A: Twitter Spaces is essentially an audio-only chatroom. It allows users to host and participate in live audio conversations.

  • Q: How do I join Spaces events in the future?
    • A: Click on the invitation and ask Twitter to notify you before the event starts. When you get the notification, you can simply click “Join.”

  • Q: What can be shared on Spaces?
    • A: Future event sessions could include authors discussing research findings, medical education rounds, or conversations with international geriatricians to discuss global issues.
