SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Amanda Leggett an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Gerontology and Department of Psychology at Wayne State University and an adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from the Pennsylvania State University and is a Fellow of the Gerontological Society of America. Her research program focuses on the dementia caregiver stress process and mental health in late life. She recently completed a K01 career development award from the National Institute on Aging and currently has associated funding from the Alzheimer’s Association to develop a taxonomy of dementia care management styles and aims to determine how classifying one’s caregiving style might be used to target interventions and optimize care. She also has R01 funding from the National Institute on Aging to examine family and friend caregiving networks more broadly and how they impact health and well-being outcomes for persons living with dementia. She is an Associate Editor of Dementia and Caregiving for the Journal Innovation in Aging and is an eight-year Hospice volunteer. |

Speaker Biography
Kahli Zietlow, MD is interested in medical education, as well as research on capacity determination and surrogate decision-making in patients with cognitive impairment and dementia. Dr. Zietlow is currently the Associate Fellowship Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship and assistant director of inter-professional education in the School of Medicine. She has authored 23 peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters. Since joining faculty at University of Michigan, she has been the recipient of institutional awards to support my work developing a curriculum on guardianship for house staff. |

Speaker Biography
Katie Drago, MD is originally from California and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2011 with her medical degree. She completed residency in Internal Medicine in 2014 and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in 2015 at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr Drago joined the OHSU Division of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics in 2015 to develop and run the Inpatient Geriatrics Program, providing consultative geriatrics care for hospitalized older adults in partnership with medical and surgical providers. She has worked as an acute care geriatrician for 7 years. Dr. Drago’s academic interest is in systems improvement focused on the care of hospitalized older adults. She has worked to improve the care for adults with delirium, standardize safe prescribing practices and enhance the care of older adults with acute fragility fractures. Dr Drago also spearheads OHSU’s Age Friendly Health Systems program, member of the Equity in Age Friendly Health Systems task force and has been a featured speaker in multiple action communities run through the Institute for Healthcare Improvement. |

Rasheeda Hall, MD, MBA, MHS leads a geriatric nephrology clinic at the Durham Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. As a clinician-investigator, Dr. Hall conducts health services research that focuses on integrating geriatric principles into kidney care settings to target geriatric problems in adults with kidney disease. Dr. Hall is a 2018 recipient of the National Institute on Aging’s Paul B. Beeson Emerging Leaders Career Development Award in Aging and the American Society of Nephrology-Harold Amos Medical Faculty Development Program award. |

The division was recently awarded a prestigious grant through the Claude D. Pepper Older American Independence Centers (OAIC) program and the National Institute on Aging.
