May 2022 ALLISON SCHIERER WINS THE AGS 2022 PRESIDENTIAL POSTER AWARD Featuring: Allison Schierer
The AGS annually honors researchers, clinicians, educators, and emerging health professionals who have made outstanding contributions to high-quality, person-centered care for older adults. Our award-winning geriatricians, geriatric nurses, social workers, family practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, internists, and so many other colleagues represent the breadth of disciplines championing elder care in the U.S. across the history of the AGS. On behalf of the American Geriatrics Society Scientific Program Committee, Allison Schierer from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine has been chosen to receive an AGS 2022 Presidential Poster Award. Allison Schierer's poster "Circular Decision Making Surrounding Long Term Care Planning for Alzheimer's Disease" was chosen as the best poster in the category of Ethics & Qualitative Research (research exploring ethical and humanistic aspects of healthcare). Posters were judged on the importance and methods of research presented, as well as the clarity and overall effectiveness of the presentation itself. |
