BEHIND BETTER MEDICINE: COMPLEX ROBOT-ASSISTED ILEAL CONDUIT REVISION SURGERY

A 77-year-old female patient underwent a radical cystectomy for bladder cancer at another hospital. She saw a few urologists for major post-operative complications associated with ileal conduit; they recommended left-side nephrectomy. The patient sought out another opinion and was referred to Ziho Lee, MD, at Northwestern Medicine Urology, for reconstruction. Here, Dr. Lee performs a complex robot-assisted ileal conduit revision surgery for the patient. ​
