Featuring: Christopher K. Mehta, MD, S. Christopher Malaisrie, MD

Episode Summary

The Richard E. Clark Paper is an award presented at the annual Society of Thoracic Surgeons, recognizing outstanding scientific papers. This year, this honor was awarded to a paper presented by Christopher K. Mehta, MD, a cardiac surgeon at Northwestern Medicine Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute.

In this video, Dr. Mehta and
S. Christopher Malaisrie, MD, cardiac surgeon at Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, discuss the findings from the award-winning paper which examined whether patients with aortic stenosis should get a surgical aortic valve replacement (SAVR) or a transcatheter aortic valve implant.
