April 2024 NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND ENGINEERING CENTER TO FIGHT VISION LOSSNorthwestern Medicine is excited to announce the nation’s first research center focusing on catalyzing engineering development to address and prevent vision loss. The Northwestern University Center of Engineering for Vision and Ophthalmology (CEVO) is committed to translating engineering discoveries into ophthalmology practice with a focus on training next-generation engineers and physicians.
The opening symposium for the CEVO will take place on June 14 at the Northwestern University Evanston campus. The event will feature a keynote lecture from David Huang, MD, PhD, invited lectures from Steve Feldon, MD; Vas Sadda, MD; Yali Jia, PhD; and Joel Schuman, MD, FACS, as well as seed grant awardees and CEVO investigators.
