13TH ANNUAL LES TURNER SYMPOSIUM ON ALS

We are pleased to invite you to the 13th Annual Les Turner Symposium on amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) on November 6.

The annual symposium, cohosted by Les Turner ALS Center at Northwestern Medicine and the Les Turner ALS Foundation, draws hundreds of ALS stakeholders from across the country. Attendees include professionals as well as people living with ALS and families affected by it. They will hear from leading ALS scientists and clinicians, participate in a Q&A panel, browse research posters, and connect with others striving to uncover new and more effective treatments for this devastating disease.

The event will be held in person at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, with opportunities to stream presentations virtually from 8 am to 5 pm CT. There is no cost to attend.

The keynote speaker for the symposium is C. Frank Bennett, PhD, the executive vice president and chief scientific officer at Ionis Pharmaceuticals and a founding member of the company. He will present on antisense based therapy for rare neurological diseases.

Northwestern Medicine Neurology physician speakers include:
  • Evangelos Kiskinis, PhD
