RECENT HONORS AND APPOINTMENTS

​Stephen A. Watson, MD, has been selected to be the next chief of Ophthalmology at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Dr. Watson brings outstanding VA leadership experience and vital experience to support better care for veterans. He will start this position in July 2024. 
Jeremy A. Lavine, MD, PhD, has been selected to join an elite group of early career vision scientists in a new National Eye Institute fellowship. The fellowship offers the opportunity to learn about academic peer review, the publication process and editorial board processes. Learn more
