311 - The Evolution of Hormone-Dependent Cancers: Challenges and Opportunities
This session explores how cancers change over time during the course of disease progression in response to treatments and as a result of metastasis. Our goal is to characterize these changes in a manner that nominates new therapeutic approaches. |

004-04 - Continuous Glucose Monitors: Are You Using Them Correctly?
Continuous glucose monitoring systems are established tools in the management of diabetes. They are used for treatment decisions in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. During this symposium we will review how to standardize measurement metrics, comparing what is used in clinical trials vs clinical practice. We will discuss how to choose CGM systems according to patients' characteristics, and we will give an overview of the efficacy and accuracy of CGM systems in special populations. |

Endocrinology Mentoring Day
Students and residents will be paired with an Endocrine Society leader as their “mentor” for the day. Mentors will guide the attendees around ENDO and introduce them to ENDO’S signature programs! We are also planning to give attendees an interactive opportunity to learn about exciting new diabetes technology. |

recognition at endo 2023
Each year the Society recognizes the meritorious achievements of endocrine researchers and clinicians worldwide. The Endocrine Society will present the Laureate Awards to the winners at ENDO 2023, the Society’s annual meeting.
Joseph Bass, MD, PhD, director of the Center for Diabetes and Metabolism, chief of Endocrinology at Northwestern Medicine, was awarded the Roy O. Greep Award for Outstanding Research. He is one of the world's leaders in circadian biology and endocrinology. His creativity and insights as an endocrinologist were instrumental in his discovery that a mutation in a core circadian clock gene lead to abnormal glucose metabolism, hyperphagia and alterations in the control of feeding time in mice. |
