NORTHWESTERN MEDICINE STUDENT WINS SECOND PLACE FOR INSIGHTFUL DIABETIC RETINOPATHY RESEARCH

Brandon Duffy, a student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, won second place for his poster, "Foveal Avascular Zone Enlargement Predicts Visual Acuity Decline in Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy" at the 2023 Area of Scholarly Concentration (AOSC) M2 Poster Session.

Duffy’s mentor for his project was Amani Fawzi, MD, of Northwestern Medicine Ophthalmology.
