We are thrilled to share our key activities and accomplishments from 2023, and recognize the people who made them possible.

As the Chief of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine, I am humbled by the trust that our patients place in us, and inspired by the trainees we teach to be the next generation of Endocrinologists. We are excited to continue our cutting-edge research and make even greater strides in 2024.

Joseph Bass, MD, PhD, discusses his research that earned merit from leading associations.

UNCOVERING THE RISKS OF ESSENTIAL METALS SUPPLEMENTS ON DIABETES
Malek El Muayed, MD discusses the impact of diet and environmental elements on Type 2 diabetes risk, with a focus on metals and metalloids. He covers the link between pre-diabetes and increased diabetes risk, and the potential risks of excess intake of essential metals, such as zinc and selenium.
