CME SYMPOSIUM: 2023 UPDATE ON TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES IN CATARACT SURGERY

This no-cost CME symposium highlights recent advances and technology in the field of cataract surgery for practicing ophthalmologists. Topics include femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery, complex cataract management and new technologies to enhance outcomes when using premium and toric IOLs.

Objectives
  • Appraise various technologies available for imaging, biometry and femto-cataract surgery, and identify which patients benefit most from their use.
  • Compare and contrast options for selection of the correct and optimal intraocular lens, and the dos and don’ts related to refractive cataract surgery.
  • Identify surgical challenges associated with complex cataracts and the surgical nuances to manage them.
