The Edith Louise Potter Memorial Lecture: Have We Arrived?
This session will focus on an evaluation and interpretation of studies on labor induction among low-risk nulliparous individuals at 39 weeks. Historical belief has been that inducing labor increases the risk of cesarean delivery and other adverse obstetric outcomes. This talk will trace the evolution of this idea over time to the contemporary understanding of labor induction and the corresponding approach to patient-centered care. |

New Era of Headache Management in Pregnancy
This symposium focuses on the new ACOG Clinical Practice Guideline, “Headaches in Pregnancy.” A panel of obstetrics, maternal-fetal medicine and neurology physicians will discuss headache prevention and treatment options, including medications and nonpharmacologic therapies for a diverse population of pregnant patients. Using case-based discussion, attendee participation will be encouraged. |
