EDWARD M. SCHAEFFER, MD, PHD, NAMED CHIEF CLINICAL OFFICER OF CANCER SERVICE LINE

Northwestern Medicine is pleased to announce that Edward M. Schaeffer, MD, PhD, Harold Binstein Professor of Urology and chair of the Department of Urology, will take on additional responsibilities as chief clinical officer for Cancer at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Schaeffer’s expertise in prostate cancer and proven leadership uniquely position him to foster a spirit of teamwork across oncology programs.

Shaping the Future of Cancer Care at Northwestern Medicine
Dr. Schaeffer will work closely with key collaborators, including Emily Kozak, senior vice president, Administration; Gary Noskin, MD, senior vice president and president of Northwestern Medical Group; and Leonidas Platanias, MD, PhD, director of Robert. H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University. Together, this team will work to enhance the approach to cancer care and leverage the collective talents of the medical community to drive better outcomes for patients with even the most complex cancer diagnoses.
