ADVANCING UTI MANAGEMENT: A NOVEL AND REPRODUCIBLE URINARY DIAGNOSTIC FRAMEWORK

A study conducted at Northwestern Medicine examined the effectiveness of a standardized urinary infection diagnostic framework (UDF). This research assessed patient outcomes for complex urinary tract infections and revealed that the implementation of the UDF significantly decreased hospitalizations, emergency department visits and antibiotic usage, while enhancing overall patient outcomes.
