LINDA SULEIMAN, MD, AND WOGO TEAM PERFORM 47 KNEE REPLACEMENTS IN TANZANIA

Linda I. Suleiman, MD, of Northwestern Medicine Orthopaedics, recently worked with Women Orthopaedists Global Outreach (WOGO) to undertake a significant humanitarian mission in Arusha, Tanzania. Traveling over 8,000 miles and shipping 9,000 pounds of surgical supplies and equipment, Dr. Suleiman and the WOGO team successfully performed 47 knee replacements. Their work was further supported by Quentin R. Youmans, MD, who joined the mission as a volunteer cardiologist. The team's work has not only transformed lives but also brought hope to the community in Arusha.
