April 2025 ERIK KING, MD, NAMED CHIEF OF ORTHOPAEDIC SURGERY DIVISION AT LURIE CHILDREN’SErik C. King, MD, has been appointed chief of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery in the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. He will also hold the Martha Washington Foundation Professorship in Pediatric Orthopaedics.
An expert in managing congenital and traumatic conditions of the hand and upper extremity, as well as scoliosis, spine deformities and pediatric orthopaedic trauma, Dr. King has published numerous scientific publications in areas such as pediatric brachial plexus injuries and congenital hand conditions. In addition to his clinical work and research, Dr. King is a highly regarded mentor, dedicated to fostering the professional development of his colleagues and educating surgical fellows, residents and medical students.
