September 2023 NORTHWESTERN MEDICINE OPHTHALMOLOGY WELCOMES TIMOTHY MILTON JANETOS, MD, AND JIN ZHANG, MDTimothy Milton Janetos, MD, joins as assistant professor of Ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude in Scientia Experimentali. He completed a preliminary general surgery internship and then his residency in ophthalmology and a fellowship in ocular immunology and uveitis at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. Complementing his medical education, he also holds an Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, demonstrating his multidisciplinary approach to health care.
Clinically, Dr. Janetos will specialize in the treatment and management of uveitis. His research endeavors span a diverse range of ophthalmic topics, including ocular immunology, uveitis, corneal neovascularization, and clinical outcomes in various eye conditions. Jin Zhang, MD, joins as assistant professor of Ophthalmology. Dr. Zhang's career began at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve where she pursued a five-year MD program with a focus on research. Dr. Zhang then completed an internship in preliminary internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic and her ophthalmology residency at the University of Arizona/Banner Health.
Dr. Zhang will practice general ophthalmology at Northwestern Medicine’s newest ophthalmology clinic in Old Irving Park. Her research focuses on surgical outcomes and is conducting research investigating the effectiveness of innovative surgical techniques in treating macular holes. |
