November 2025 MAHA HUSSAIN, MD, RECEIVES FIRST-EVER PCF WOMEN IN SCIENCE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARDFeaturing: Maha Hussain, MD, FACP, FASCO
Maha Hussain, MD, deputy director of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, and Genevieve E. Teuton Professor of Medicine in the division of Hematology and Oncology at Northwestern Medicine, has been honored by the Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) with the first-ever PCF Women in Science Lifetime Achievement Award. She received the award and gave an honorary lecture during PCF's 32nd Annual Scientific Retreat in Carlsbad, California. Dr. Hussain was chosen for this award based on her extraordinary career in prostate cancer research, profound impact on patients and mentorship of the next generation of prostate cancer researchers. Dr. Hussain is a world-renowned genitourinary oncologist who has spent her career fighting for patients with lethal forms of prostate cancer. Her groundbreaking research, supported by several PCF awards and grants, has greatly improved the treatment and management of patients with both metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer and castration-resistant prostate cancer.
