SURVIVE AND THRIVE: CONNECTING PATIENTS AND CANCER EXPERTS

Featuring: Jenna Z. Marcus, MD, and Emma L. Barber, MD

The Northwestern Medicine Division of Gynecologic Oncology hosted their annual Survive and Thrive Gynecologic Cancer Patient and Caregiver Program on September 5 at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women’s Hospital in downtown Chicago.

Led by Program Chair Jenna Z. Marcus, MD, and Division Chief Emma L. Barber, MD, Survive and Thrive is a no-cost, educational event that exemplifies Northwestern Medicine’s commitment to thought leadership in gynecologic oncology. Designed to foster dialogue and deliver learnings, this event offers direct access to leading clinicians and researchers. Survive and Thrive is also open to all gynecologic cancer patients, their families, their friends and caregivers, along with healthcare professionals, medical trainees and students.

The one-day program brought together oncologists, researchers and healthcare professionals from across Chicago to discuss the latest advances and scientific updates in therapies, research and supportive care methodology.

The agenda featured internationally recognized experts who spoke on topics from surgical advance and research to expanding access to cancer screenings. Attendees also enjoyed interactive Q&A sessions, wellness experiences like massage and acupuncture, and networking.
