NORTHWESTERN MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IS NO. 2 NATIONWIDE IN QUALITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACCORDING TO VIZIENT

Northwestern Memorial Hospital has been ranked No. 2* nationwide in the 2025 Vizient Quality and Accountability Ranking. Performance is measured by the quality of patient care in six domains: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness and variation in care.
Five other Northwestern Medicine acute care hospitals have also been named 2025 Vizient Top Performers for high-quality care. Each hospital's performance is compared to other hospitals in its cohort, which are determined by their clinical capabilities and patient volumes. All six hospitals have improved their rankings since 2024. Two Northwestern Medicine medical groups — the academic medical center medical group and Northwestern Health Network Medical Group — also improved rankings over 2024.
