While the emphasis will be on Parkinson’s disease, the most common neurodegenerative movement disorder, other diseases will be discussed, including ataxias, Huntington’s disease, multiple system atrophy, progressive supranuclear palsy, Lewy body dementia, tics and dystonia. The meeting format will encourage discussion among the audience and interaction with the speakers. There will be didactic lectures and an interactive working lunch. Audience The content of the program is appropriate for healthcare professionals who detect, diagnose, manage and treat Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, including physicians, nurses, geneticists, physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists. American Board of Surgery Continuous Certification Program Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit. ABS CME credits will be submitted to the boards within three months of the conclusion of the activity.
