Peter Kharilas, MD, Honored with 2025 AFS Lifetime Achievement Award Peter Kharilas, MD, the Gilbert H. Marquardt Professor in Medicine at Northwestern University, has been awarded the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award by AFS. With over 400 publications in esophageal pathophysiology and decades of leadership in gastroenterology, Dr. Kharilas continues to shape the future of foregut care through research, mentorship and clinical excellence. John Pandolfino, MD, Named Fellow of the AFS John Pandolfino, MD, a nationally recognized expert in esophageal disorders, has been selected as a faculty member for the 2025 AFS Annual Meeting. His participation reflects his ongoing commitment to advancing foregut care through education and clinical innovation.
