Welcome Dr. Dhanda-Patil
Dr. Dhanda-Patil has been a board-certified otolaryngologist for over two decades with advanced training and expertise in complex sleep surgery. She is known for a compassionate, thoughtful approach to otolaryngology and promoting individualized, innovative care for patients in an academic medical center setting. Her primary specialty is otolaryngology and her secondary specialty is sleep surgery.
 
Her practice focus areas include:
  • Deviated septum
  • General otolaryngology
  • Nasal and sinus disorders
  • Nasal polyps
  • Sinus surgery
  • Sleep apnea surgery
  • Tonsillitis
  • Vocal cord dysfunction
 
Dr. Dhanda-Patil aims to bring evidence-based, high-quality care to her patients, particularly related to their treatment goals for obstructive sleep apnea. She’ll support the education of students and trainees as a professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern Medicine. An avid clinical researcher, Dr. Dhanda-Patil focuses on comorbid conditions related to surgery for obstructive sleep apnea.

Dr. Patil has also been a board-certified otolaryngologist for over two decades with advanced training and expertise in complex head and neck oncology, and head and neck reconstruction. He specializes in providing compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with head and neck cancer, thanks to his background in microvascular reconstruction and rehabilitation of complex oncology and trauma cases.
 
His practice focus areas include:
  • Airway surgery for reconstruction of airway stenosis and patients with tracheotomy
  • Head and neck cancer
  • Nasal cavity tumors
  • Parathyroid surgery
  • Reconstructive microvascular surgery
  • Salivary gland tumors
  • Sinus tumors
  • Skull base surgery
  • Throat cancer
  • Thyroid surgery
 
Dr. Patil brings a wealth of knowledge with a patient-centered approach, ensuring that everyone receives personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. He’ll also serve as a professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern Medicine.
